Candidates are stored for wacky resume much more often than they would like. Often, recruiters have to see a completely outdated things like land line numbers or the physical address of the applicant.
If you do not want to create the impression of a man from the past, avoid those mistakes.
1. Do not resume, and the poem
Of course, you want to include in the summary as much information about themselves and their experiences. But the key point is to become valid.
It is not necessary to list all all past employment starting from the moment when you're moonlighting as a promoter during the school holidays. This information does not need a recruiter to see how well you know how to code or maintain accountability.
2. Instead of experience - a task list
Experts say that the listing in your resume all that what you did in a previous job - is the last century. Brenda Collard Mills (Brenda Collard-Mills), the owner of the compilation of summary Robust Resumes and Resources of Ontario, says that this version seems a real cry of despair, not a good resume specialist.
She is confident that the current summary should sell you, and do not display the job description. Focus on your experience and talents that can benefit a potential leadership. Make a statement as a "vigorous and energetic member of the sales of the club," or as a "conductor coolest events and advertising campaigns in social networks." So recruiters will be easier to see how you fit for the position.
3. Instead of the "highlights" - mediocrity
If you do focus on the skills that are now seen as basic, it means that you did not even try to learn anything new.
Steve Gibson (Steve Gibson), the head of JotFormAbility to work with Microsoft Office says only that you do not know about Google Docs.
The same applies to your speed. If this is not directly related to your future work, it is not necessary to write about it.
4. Instead portfolio - "examples on demand"
Tom Adrienne (Adrienne Tom) of the Calgary-based Career Impressions says that a good resume does not meet such words. If you want to get a job, you must already be ready links to examples or recommendations.
5. super secret
The lack of references to social networking profiles - a big mistake. Recruiters often just looking at your page, understand how you come to the selected position.
John Bowes (John Boese), founder EliteHired.comIf you do not specify a link to a website, a profile on LinkedIn or Twitter, then you either do not know how to be a normal job, or know nothing about social networks. And then, and another will not do.
