"We need to engage in sports or four times a week. Not just to jog, and to engage intensively. And to arrange short-term starvation. And to drink two liters of water a day. And do not forget to meditate.
If you do not get up at four in the morning, you're missing the most productive time of day. We watched TV? It would be better to spend that time reading. And do not just read art books, and classic works of Seneca and Marcus Aurelius. "
These tips evoke the feeling that you are not productive, and with it comes guilt. It is constantly whispers what to do anymore. And if you do not do everything, you're a couch potato who never reach their goals.
This is a side effect of articles with useful tips. To some recommendations to help solve the problem, but someone may seem too hard and cause a feeling of guilt.
1. Accept the fact that you will never be ideal
This is normal. Nobody is perfect. For thirteen years of blogging, I have written more than 1200 articles and almost all something advise. One person is practically impossible to constantly follow all of these tips at a time. My habits are changing. In place of the old ideas, about which I wrote before, new ones come. Not necessarily because they are better. I just (as you do) change all the time.
So the first step - to understand that the ideal is unattainable. The second - that it is not even worth to be desired.
2. Do not use all the tips at the same time
Do not forget that the advice in the article - it is the direction and not the final destination. That is, moving from the current point in this direction, you will probably get some benefit. But do not go to extremes, trying to follow all of the recommendations immediately.
Take, for example, advice at the beginning of this article. Each of them individually good. But if you try to use them all at once, you will not have to be time and energy on other things.
And it also happens that the achievement of the ideal may actually do more harm than good. For example, spending less time in social networks and messengers - a sensible idea. But in general, no one in contact, you can, and become more productive, but get exactly the number of problems in the social life.
3. Do not look at other
The main source of guilt - the gap between how we see ourselves and the way in which we want to be. Begin to move forward from that point, which are now, not with the ideal vision of themselves. And take into account their real strengths and weaknesses.
Yes, it would be great if we were perfect beings with endless reserves of self-discipline, time, resources and intelligence. But this is not the case. We all have flaws. And we're just trying a little to improve their situation.
Do not focus on finding the ideal solutions. Think about how to operate a little differently the next time to get a bit better result.
4. Move to the goal gradually
If lately you often feel guilty because of their productivity, try the following:
- Select one or more goals, Which will be pursued. Remind yourself that does not take up all at once - it is normal.
- Do not compare yourself with others. Those whom you admire, there are disadvantages, too. You just do not see them. Work on yourself and do not blame yourself for what someone else did not meet standards.
- Separate critical need advice from those that you just would not hurt. Most belong to the second category: they help, but very little. Focus on what is most important to achieve your goals.
And stop telling yourself that guilt is helpful. Yes, it motivates, but gives a lot of side effects. Constant feeling that you are doing is not enough, not the state, which should strive. It is better to move forward slowly and patiently - so you will achieve results with less stress.
