Life without a mobile phone
A Life / / December 19, 2019
The mobile phone has long been a continuation of ourselves. He accompanies us everywhere, and we'd like Siamese twins, fused forever. Parting at least one day is almost physical torment, and the hand feels lonely pocket in search of a beloved friend. But there are still people who can live without this miracle device fulfilling life full of real emotion! Meet this Matthew Rogers, designer of mobile applications, and it does not have... a mobile phone.
How did it happen that the designer of mobile applications, living in San Francisco, do not have a mobile phone? Matthew says that sometimes seems to him that he was the only person living in the real world.
Matthew Rogers opposed teenager, totally dependent on the phone - 15-year-old Tess Vega. Phone with her all the time, it is completely immersed in the virtual world, and only occasionally think about how it is - to live without a phone.
On the one hand, modern technologies have become an integral part of our lives, on the other - because of complete immersion in the virtual world people no longer live in the present. And then it's time to ask the big question: what kind of life is now possible to consider this?
Perhaps all of these disgruntled remarks - our parents grumbling that we were watching television more than one hour a day, just a little bit in a different form? Is it possible to find an ideal balance between "offline" and "online"? After UX-designer somehow manages to live without a mobile phone. ;)
