Safari our all and all Mac users will sooner or later come to this conclusion. In Safari, the benefit is a set of arguments to take even lower power consumption, compared with Chrome (by the way, the main reason that I finally moved on Safari). Yet, Chrome more familiar switcher, for he has a large number of extensions, but one important feature in it is still there - it is the iCloud-tabs.
If you are one of those users who continue to use Chrome on Mac and on iOS prefer Safari - you will be useful to read this article. Because in it I will tell you how to make friends with Chrome (or other third-party browser) c iCloud tabs and browse pages that are open on your iPad or iPhone.

This use case is not very common, but it is the place to be. The reason for this "pun" is quite simple - in the iOS Chrome Safari is much slower due to the fact that Apple does not allow to use its new engine Nitro Javascript. And users prefer Chrome, vynuzhndeny on iOS still use Safari for best performance. And in such a case synchronization tabs can not be considered. By schatyu, this problem can be partially solved by making use of Chrome in conjunction with Safari a little bit more comfortable.
How it works?
To Chrome or another browser installed on your Mac could see the open tabs on your other devices, you need to install a small utility called CloudyTabs. It is free and has a single purpose - to display and sync iCloud-tabs.
This occurs by reading data from a file .plist-OS X, which stores data about the open tabs on other devices. That is why, CloudyTabs spreads through GitHub, and not through the Mac App Store. But the essence of this does not change, so we load the application on the link and put in a folder Programs.
Using
Open the folder CloudyTabs Programs or through Launchpad. This application does not have a window and runs directly from the menu bar, which when you click on the icon displays a drop-down list with all the open tabs in Safari on your other devices.
- Click on any site from the drop-down menu, the selected page will open in your default browser (Chrome, Firefox, or any other).
- If you want to open tabs in the background (without having to switch to the browser of the current application), instead of the usual clique do ⌘ + click.
- Also, you can open all tabs iCloud-specific device with one click, select the appropriate item (Open All Tabs From) At the bottom of the list. Here, by the way, you can enable Instant Upload CloudyTabs at startup (Launch CloudyTabs At Login).
- And one is not quite obvious function CloudyTabs. As soon as you start typing the name of the tab - the app will move the focus to the appropriate page. This is useful when a large list of tabs that you want to scroll to find the desired page.
Actually, this functionality of the application is over, but I think the more we do not need. All functions which are at the moment - work perfectly: tabs are opened, synchronization happens almost instantly. It's simple, convenient, and also free of charge.
