How to make the most of search in Windows 10

These tricks will help you find any files and folders, filter search results and get to the desired settings.
Windows 10 has a good built-in search, which for some reason, few people use. Meanwhile, this is a really cool tool that will come in handy if you are not very careful are sorting your files into folders. And indeed often open documents search just faster than pass the full path to the file.

- «» - searching for files containing certain exact phrase. For example, search "Cats and dogs" it finds a file cats and dogs, but not rabid cats and patient dog.
- () - looking for words that can be placed in the file in any order. That is, a request (Dogs cats hamsters) find and dogs cats hamstersand dogs cats hamsters.
- > and < - look for files with ill-defined values. For example, date:> 01/01/2018 find all files that were created after the first day of January of this year. size: <10MB find files smaller than 10MB.
