Sport And Fitness / / December 19, 2019
Haruki Murakami does not need any introduction. His works are very popular, and with each new novel of the number of its readers only grows. So I succumbed to the charm of the prose of this writer, after reading the book "What I Talk About When I Talk About Running."
Murakami (Haruki Murakami)
Contemporary Japanese writer and translator. He enjoys marathon running and triathlon.
No trick is not here: the book is really about race, the running of the years of experience of the author. However, this is not a tutorial on the run, but a collection of memories and impressions about jogging and competitions.
Haruki Murakami, writer, amateur racingI'm not going to bring light to the masses and to seek peace with calls such as "Let's run every day to be healthy!". This book is just what is running for me.
Of course, there are many arguments in favor of inspiring jogging, but it does not mean that you read a confession conqueror finishing ribbons. Murakami-san just really loves to run and share the experience that he has.
Haruki Murakami, writer, amateur racingHere you will find a number of so-called rules of thumb. Maybe it's nothing special about them and not, in any case, I learned my lesson on the run, surviving the race with his whole being.
In general, these rules apply not only running technique as philosophy:
- the importance of persistence, not numbers;
- of what you should pay attention to while jogging;
- motivationWhich will run from year to year;
- relationship to lesions, which can not be avoided even after the most careful preparation;
- the value of talent and innate ability to achieve results, not only on the treadmill;
- good pain from time to time for the body and soul.
Who should read this book
Everyone who ran, running or just chooses the first sneakersAnd, of course, those who are engaged in writing activities in a particular manner.
It is easy and at the same time Intelligent Fiction, a little amusing and inspiring.
I liked the chapters on preparation for the triathlon. After all, here it is not only about race, which kicks me as Murakami himself, but also on the water, cycling, in relation to which we also like the author.
