"The file is too large": what to do if the data is not stored on a flash drive

Sometimes the stick is not possible to copy the file, even if it plenty of space. For example, when attempting to write an object that is larger than 4 GB, Windows users can see the message "The file is too large... for the ultimate file system."
macOS in such cases, displays the error "Unable to copy an object... as he did the volume is too large for the size."
This occurs if the current file system (the data type of the organization) is the FAT32 drive (or MS-DOS), which does not support writing larger than 4 GB files. To remove this restriction, format the USB flash driveBy changing its file system.
Formatting removes all information from the drive. Be sure to backup important data.
If you have Windows you open Windows Explorer. Right-click on the flash drive and select "Format" from the context menu. In the new window, change the file system NTFS, if you plan to use the drive on Windows computers, or the exFAT, that it is fully compatible with both Windows, and with MacOS.
Check the option "Fast (clearing the table of contents)", click "Start" and wait for the formatting is complete.
If you are using MacOS, run the Disk Utility: Finder → «programs» → «Tools» → «Disk Utility." Highlight the drive in the sidebar and click on "Erase", located at the top. In the next window, select the format «Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" if you plan to use a USB flash drive on a Mac, or the exFAT, that it is entirely compatible with both MacOS, and with Windows.
Click "Clear" and wait for the formatting is complete.
After these manipulations, you can record files of any size, if they will have enough free space on the drive.
