Do It Yourself Web Services / / December 19, 2019
All day yesterday the news from Google were a continuous stream. The launch of their social network, update the search interface, and then new look Gmail and Calendar. Now almost all of the major products Google have a uniform appearance with a black bar at the top and the predominance of gray, white and red colors. Except that Google Reader has not changed much and is knocked out of this visual range. But it can be easily repaired.
Do it will help us a great visual style for Google Reader called Helvetireader2. This is a special user script which gives Googley chitalke completely new, simple and clean appearance, hiding out of sight all the social and other small chips used. And, despite the fact that Helvetireader developed much earlier, it is surprisingly fit the new look of Google products!
For Firefox users need to install the first extension GreasemonkeyAnd then special userscript. Those who use the Chrome browser was more fortunate, because the browser supports custom scripts without having to install any extensions. Just click on the link to the script, and it will be installed in the browser.
To use Helvetireader Opera's authors recommend to save the script to a folder with custom scripts. This method, however, I personally did not load. Therefore it is better to use a special extension for the browser, which can be downloaded here.
