ControlAir: Kinect present in your Mac

Surely, even those who are not particularly familiar with the gaming industry, heard or know of the existence of such devices like the Kinect, released by Microsoft in late 2010 for their Xbox 360 consoles. This is a sensor that allows you to control the characters in the games using body movements without any controllers. Implementation, frankly, left much to be desired, but as an idea - like many. Therefore, the appearance of the application, which allows to control your Mac using gestures, it was only a matter of time.
ControlAir - a small utility that is installed on your Mac, and allows you to interact with some applications by flapping his hands. Unfortunately, the full support of OS X does not. The application works only with a few players: iTunes, Spotify, QuickTime, VLC, VOX and Rdio.
When you enable and configure the primary, you will be asked to undergo a brief training, which consists of a couple of simple steps. Pull the finger in front of the monitor screen, and the top of the workspace will be the player controls: volume, switch tracks and pause / play button. Swipe left and right, we switch between the buttons, and for their "pushing" just bend the thumb, simulating a click on buttons thereby.
In addition to controlling the above applications, there is also an interesting possibility of switching on and off the sound. Hold a finger to his lips as if to say the computer "Shhh, I have an important call," and the sound will be turned off immediately. Repeated action to turn it back. Quite an interesting approach.
Probably the biggest problem ControlAir is that you can control only those applications that allow developers. Fully push the keyboard and mouse and use only gestures will not work. On the other hand, it pleases complete absence of latency. All available commands work fine (except, perhaps, for the inclusion of false positives and mute). If we compare with the same the Kinect, which had a noticeable delay - the sky and the earth, as they say.
All interested - welcome to the Mac AppStore, where the application is distributed free of charge. And, of course, we hope to expand the functionality and more.
And how do you control your computer such an idea? No extra accessories like LeapMotion or iRing, which never reached the consumer. Write an opinion in the comments!
