As a rule, turn off any resource intensive programs you hanging for the second week in the background, you decide the problem of missing megabytes. And if you want to clean up precious megabytes, you can use the terminal and the command purge - it will do absolutely the same as that Memory Keeper. At worst, the sheer reboot has not been canceled, but this is an extreme case.
