Wind turbine WaterSeer condenses out of the air 37 liters of clean water a day

In developing countries, due to lack of drinking water every fifteen minutes a child dies. More than 2.2 billion people lack access to safe water. Startup WaterSeer knows how to change the frightening statistics.
Hard to imagine a normal day without clean water. We drink water, we bathe in it and wash the dishes. At the same time, 10 000 people die from dehydration and disease carried by the water, just for one day. As if living on another planet.
The problem is particularly acute in remote African regions, where there is no adequate infrastructure for outside help. University of California at Berkeley engineers in collaboration with humanitarian organization "Peace Corps" see the solution to this problem.
They developed windy device which collects the hot air above the ground and delivers it to bury the capsule. Due to the temperature difference between the hot air is cooled and gives a condensate, which is purified of harmful impurities, i.e. we have output distilled water.
The device is easily installed and is deployed within entire communities. Feed water to the consumers in the usual pump.
In comparison to competitive solutions, WaterSeer does not use an external power source. Moreover, the installation does not require any technical skills or maintenance for extended periods of time. In general, entirely "green" setting for ridiculous money.
The prototype of a wind station passed testing in April 2016. The results exceeded expectations, but the developers did not stop there and in August created an improved model. Now engineers are looking for a means to re-test, which will help to finalize the design and launch the product in mass production. For these purposes kraudfandingovaya launched a campaign on a platform Indiegogo.
