Updated iTunes U lets you create training courses directly on the iPad

Apple continues to promote their educational tools to make the iPad more useful in the learning process. Yesterday it was announced updated iTunes U app, which is designed to facilitate the work of teachers, in terms of creating and ogranizatsii courses directly with the iPad.
Teachers who use the app get ample opportunities to create lectures using materials from iWork, iBooks Author, or any other educational applications, the total number of which is more than 75,000.
iTunes U also allows teachers to easily add courses in their own photos and videos taken with via iPad chamber, thus creating a local scale content maximally covering needs class. The main goal pursued by Apple - the maximum amount of sales of iPad in educational institutions and simplification of life is constantly limited in time teachers.
However, the update affects not only teachers, but also students, who can now use their own iPad in the teaching process. Now, for example, they can ask a question using the new function Talk (Discussions). This can be used to automatically track new discussions in the classroom, participation in new topics, as well as the receipt of push-notification of replies to stay informed of all developments. Teachers also have the opportunity to participate in forums and moderated discussion.
In the words of Apple's vice president of Internet services Eddy Cue, "to the iPad a learning process will become much more personalized."
Apple released iTunes U application in 2012 to make the content of the same educational portal accessible from mobile devices. Expanding, moreover, their tools to create e-books and textbooks, thus making the iOS ecosystem even more attractive for educational purposes.
However, Apple was not the only player in this field. Since then, a host of young startups with great potential in the field of mobile learning content, such Quipper or Gojimo. Interest in them is partially explains why Apple can not rest on our laurels.
But there are not only start-ups, and more serznye competitors such as Amazon, which also leads to the expansion of the educational segment of the market by promoting its Kindle Fire tablets. iPad may be the de facto standard for the education system, but Amazon tablets are cheaper, which is a threat to Apple.
To date, 69 countries, teachers are able to create their own courses in iTunes U and distribute them to the audience in 155 countries through the application iTunes U. Apple also said that with the help of its free application iBooks Author (launched in 2012) was created about thirty thousand multi-books.
