7 interesting facts about kissing

Not all cultures kisses are valid. A group of specialists in the field of cultural anthropology and gender studies at the Institute Kinsey gathered about 168 cultures of data (including both modern industrial society and the primitive tribes) from all over the world. It was found that only 46 per cent among human cultures kissing considered normal way interaction between man and woman. In 54 per cent of crops are considered as kissing a strange, unnecessary and even repulsive phenomenon.

People have learned to kiss (at least, in the form as we do now) relatively recently. Vlodarski Rafael (Rafael Wlodarski) of Oxford University has studied written sources in the search for that data as changed human habits, and I found that the earliest mention of kissing has to Hindu Vedic texts on Sanskrit. The age of these manuscripts is about 3500 years old. They said that the kiss - then inhale the soul of each other.

Microbiologists from the Netherlands calculated that, if the kiss lasts for 10 seconds, during which time the partners have time to exchange 80 million bacteria. As a result, couples who live together for a long time and do not forget at the same time to kiss, have roughly similar in composition of the microflora of the mouth.

There is a special science for the study of physiological and psychological characteristics of human kiss. It's called filematologiey (philematology, from the Greek. philema, which means "kiss"). But the process itself is called in science osculation.
