Google released two new apps for smartphones running Android - Live Transcribe and Sound Amplifier. They are designed to make life easier for those who have hearing problems.
Live Transcribe
Tool transcribe the spoken word, and does it almost instantly. Enough to run the app, it immediately begins to display in large letters on the screen of the phone that you're talking about. Live Transcribe understand the context and knows how to punctuate, but requires a constant internet connection.
The application has a light level of the ambient noise, which is easy to understand whether or not to bring the microphone closer to your mouth. If necessary, you can quickly bring up the keyboard to respond to man via text. If, after a long silence someone speak, the unit vibrates.
In Live Transcribe can select the primary and secondary languages, among which is easy to switch. The application supports more than 70 languages and dialects. It is possible to turn a dark theme and change the text size.
Sound Amplifier
The program is a set of sliders that modify various audio settings. You plug the headphones - always wired - and smartphone starts to process the sound in such a way as to make it easier to hear it.
Sound Amplifier In only a few sliders, but according to Google, are hidden behind them "thousands of parameters." The application does not require a network connection.
Both instruments are available to owners Pixel 3 directly through the settings. Others can download it from Google Play.
You must subscribe to use Live Transcribe Beta Testing and wait for the email with a link. Sound Amplifier has already appeared in the app store, but to run it you need a device based on the Android 9.0 Pie.
