The team of scientists led by the University of Otago Professor Neil Gemmell summed up the results of a large-scale investigation of Loch Ness. Their main purpose was to study the reservoir of biodiversity that involves finding all the possible inhabitants, including the mythical Loch Ness Monster.
To do this, scientists have taken a lot of water samples in different parts of the lake, and studied all the discovered DNA. The results Gemmell studies found no evidence that the Loch Ness monster, at least in reptilian form, ever lived in a Scottish lake.
At the same time Gemmell noted quite a large concentration of DNA acne. Their water is really a lot, which is suggesting: witnesses saw Nessie is large eels and many smaller ones. According to the professor, this is the most plausible explanation which, moreover, corresponds to the earlier theories.
Acne can grow to a length of 1.8 meters, but people are often reported on individuals of much more impressive size. Take them for a reptile with a long neck, peering out of the water, not so difficult.
According to the scientist, regardless of the scientific opinions, there will always be people who will look for Nessie. This phenomenon brings millions Scottish economy and attracts thousands of tourists every year the lake. All are hoping to see a mythical monster that is hiding in the depths of decades.
