Huawei surpassed Samsung and Apple in Russia, but the most explosive growth in Xiaomi

Analytical agency Canalys has published statistics on the sales of smartphones in Russia in 2018. In comparison with 2017 the changes were many. First of all, the leader has changed - Huawei ranked first, realized for the year, 8.4 million smart phones. This is in view of Honor brand models.

This result allowed the Chinese giant to get around, and Apple, and Samsung, which shipped in 2018 in Russia 5.5 and 7.5 million units respectively. And if for Apple, this figure can be called successful, Samsung - the only one in the top five leaders, whose sales have declined.

Much more successful was the last year for Xiaomi, which showed the highest growth in sales volumes. If only 1.4 million devices manufacturer, in 2018 this figure increased by more than tripled, to 4.6 million were sold in 2017 officially in Russia.

Closes top five HMD Global, which owns the rights to the Nokia brand. This company sold in this country of 0.8 million smartphones, which is 0.2 more than last year. For once popular brand in Russia is also a success, however small.
