Delicate biscuit cakes with sour cream, delicious chocolate cream made from condensed milk and creamy icing - the Prague cake will definitely appeal to all those with a sweet tooth.
Combine flour, baking powder and cocoa.
Whisk egg whites and sugar in a separate bowl. Then add the yolk, condensed milk and sour cream.
Pour the dry mixture into the sour cream little by little, stirring thoroughly.
Pour the dough into a baking dish. Send it to an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
To check if the cake is ready, pierce it with a toothpick. If there is no dough on the toothpick, it's time to take out the cake.
Leave the biscuit to cool for 30 minutes without removing it from the mold.
Then remove the dough from the mold and cut into two or three cakes. Cool completely.
In the meantime, prepare the cream. Whisk softened butter with condensed milk and cocoa until smooth.
To make the soak, heat the water, mix with alcohol and sugar and pour over the cooled cakes.
The impregnation will enhance the cocoa flavor and make the cake softer and more tender. Alcohol can be replaced with essence or add another 50 ml of water instead.
Assemble the cake by brushing the cakes with cream and stacking on top of each other.
For the icing, combine the sugar, milk and cocoa in a saucepan and cook until the first bubbles appear. Remove from stove.
Once the liquid has cooled slightly, add the oil and stir.
The glaze can be made softer if you beat it with a mixer.
Apply the resulting icing to the cake. Trim with a knife or spoon if necessary.
Before applying the icing, you can coat the cake with a thin layer of orange or apricot jam. This will make the glaze shinier and smoother and add interesting flavor.
