Kodak introduced a cardboard film scanner

Kodak has created a portable scanner film Mobile Film Scanner, made of cardboard. It is sturdy enough, and for you only need the device itself, the film and the smartphone.

Mobile Film Scanner is powered by two AA batteries and supports b / w 35mm negatives, color negatives and slides. The device itself is not a high-tech filling: there is a backlight under the film. All the magic of making a smartphone with a proprietary Kodak application (compatible with Android 5.0 and iOS 6 and above).

To digitize photos to put your smartphone on the top panel so that the camera is aligned with the holes. Put tape or slide in a special recess, turn the flash on your phone and run the application. Program does the rest. Edited result can be the same.

The device is delivered in disassembled form as Nintendo Labo. After assembling the transformer is obtained: from the operating position device formed quickly in a small box, which can be put into the pocket. The creators claim that the cardboard is strong enough to survive the trip.
