Asus has announced a smartphone gaming ROG Phone II

Asus has officially unveiled the second generation of smartphone gaming ROG Phone. Novelty design is virtually identical to the original version, but on a number of parameters ROG Phone II is superior to almost all smart phones on the market.

Characteristics

Novelty equipped 6.49-inch OLED-display with a Full HD resolution and a built-in fingerprint scanner. It supports HDR and refresh rate to 120 Hz. Now under 120 Hz upgraded two games: Shadowgun Legends and Rockman X Dive. Asus said that already is negotiating with developers to optimize more designs.

During setup of a new smartphone, you can select the operating system: Android or clean ZenUI, in ZenFone 6. Asus proprietary firmware allows you to adjust RGB-backlit control the cooling system and change the refresh rate in the same utility.

ROG Phone II became the first smartphone with Snapdragon chipset 855 Plus, focused just on the game models. Compared with conventional Snapdragon 855, it provides over 15% higher performance graphics Adreno 640 and higher threshold clock.

The smartphone will be felt more and faster due to the low latency of the screen sensor in 49 ms. For comparison, the touchscreen delay Galaxy S10 + is 87 ms, OnePlus 7 Pro - 85 ms, and iPhone XS Max - 75 ms. In the game one moment can decide a lot, so the lower the latency, the lower the chance of losing.

The battery capacity of 6000 mAh should last for 7 hours of play mobile PUBG refresh rate 60 Hz screen.

Along with the smartphone revealed and new gaming accessories for him:

• TwinView Dock II - docking station with an additional display and battery to 5000 mAh;
• WiGig Display Dock Plus - a device for wireless image broadcast from your phone to your TV;
• AeroActive Cooler - the external cooler on the clip;
• Kunai - a set of two controllers, which act as a dzhoykony Nintendo Switch. They can be attached on the sides of your smartphone or combined into one gamepad.

Note that the novelty here began only Kunai. The rest of the accessories have been available before, but now they have adapted ROG Phone II and its dimensions.

Pricing and Availability

cost of the smartphone and accessories have not yet disclosed, but Asus reported edition of The Verge, a price tag that will be on the first-generation level. In Russia, the original ROG Phone with 128GB drive appreciated 59 990 rubles.

As for the release date, you must appear tomorrow about output in China. In the western market smartphone will be released in the first week of September.

Game smartphones hardly a necessity for mobile gaming - in the same way as you do not need a Titan RTX, to play on the PC. But gaming experience with this device will be more enjoyable and accessories expand the possibilities.
