It can be used as a giant touch screen tablet.
LG introduced new device called StandByMe GO. This is a 27-inch smart TV, which the manufacturer calls an "all-in-one portable entertainment system." The main feature lies in the form factor: the TV is built into the suitcase to make it easier to carry.
The screen slides out of the suitcase on a stand that allows you to adjust the angle of inclination. Although the manufacturer categorizes it as a TV, in reality it is more of a huge touchscreen tablet that can be used for games, presentations, and even in place of an electronic photo frame.
The screen resolution is 1080p, the refresh rate is quite modest 60 Hz. The TV boasts an Outdoor Brightness Control feature that boosts peak brightness when the surroundings are too bright.
The device supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. You can even install NVIDIA GeForce Now or Xbox Cloud Gaming to stream games - all you need is a good Internet connection and a Bluetooth controller. AirPlay support is provided for Apple gadget users. For a wired connection, there is only one HDMI.
Of course, a gadget cannot be truly portable if it is not powered by a battery. StandByMe GO works - up to 3 hours without recharging. Surely the battery added weight to the suitcase with the TV, but LG has not yet disclosed this part of the characteristics.
LG StandbyMe GO was priced at $999 (≈94,200 rubles). The novelty can already be pre-ordered, but so far only in the US. It should go on sale later in August.
