Mozilla is working on a new web browser for mobile devices codenamed Fenix. It is much faster than the previous, and now it can try any Android user.
Browser not only fast, but also easy to use. The navigation bar is located at the bottom of the screen, so it is very easy to reach. Through it, you can quickly share a link, or add it to your favorites.
By pressing the push button the screen opens tabs, which shows all open pages. There you can view a collection of links and switch to private session. Also, the browser has a dark theme.
To install the beta version of the application, do the following:
- Join a group fenix Nightly.
- Sign up to participate in the beta test on Google Play.
- download the app from the store.
Alternatively, you can simply download to your smartphone APK-installer. But in this case, the browser will not update itself.
At the end of March, Mozilla adapted iOS-version of Firefox for iPad. The application adds support for split-screen and simplified tabbed control.
