MacOS Catalina «break» email

Last week the release macOS Catalina - and, as is often the case with major OS updates, there were no bugs. Members point out serious problems with the default application "Mail". About it I wrote in his blog developer Michael Tsai.

It noted two problems varieties:

1. When you move messages from one mailbox to another on the Mac can only reflect the theme of the letter. Other devices will be considered a remote message, and chased him. Accordingly, the synchronization of the source computer to the server letter disappears completely and Mac too.
2. After updating to Mojave on Catalina mail client shows that the download is successful messages. In fact, some messages may be corrupted or lost.

The only way to know that the message was lost - to try to find his or open. The causes of the bug are unknown, but there is speculation that it is connected to the servers, "Mail".

What if the messages have disappeared? The only way to restore them - use Time MachineGet a file with messages and import them back in the mail ( "File"> "Import boxes"). In this case, Tsai pointed out that it makes no sense

If you use this application, we recommend you not yet updated to the new version of the OS. Most likely, Apple will fix this problem soon. Now developers are testing the beta macOS Catalina 10.15.1, but it is unknown whether there is a list of e-mail client correcting changes.
