On Facebook on iOS we have found a new security problem

Most likely, it is a bug, but you are better to close
The Facebook app discovered a new security problem. If you open any photo or video (it does not matter, your or another user), the application automatically launches the camera. This can be seen when you close your media. Bug found a web designer Joshua Meddaks.
Found a @facebook#security & #privacy issue. When the app is open it actively uses the camera. I found a bug in the app that lets you see the camera open behind your feed. Note that I had the camera pointed at the carpet. pic.twitter.com/B8b9oE1nbl

Later, he checked his guess on the other five iPhone - and all showed the same result. It is important to note that all of them worked on iOS 13.2.2. Readers, too, began to upload videos, where they also manage to "catch» Facebook to unauthorized access to the camera.
This indeed shows video from the back camera. Yes, a user / can / turn off the App's access to the Camera, but should not the App be VERY explicit when the camera is activated? pic.twitter.com/Z4g4w63Npb

On iOS, 12 such a problem does not occur in most people - except one owner iPhone 7 Plus with iOS 12.4.1. Facebook has not commented on the unexpected hidden "feature" applications, and there is no evidence that the access to the camera used to harm users.
To deny access to the camera app, open the "Settings» → «Privacy» → «Camera" and turn the switch next to Facebook in an inactive position.
