Miscellaneous / / December 10, 2023
If everything is done correctly, there will be no streaks left on things.
What are laundry capsules
Capsules are small sachets with a water-soluble shell. They may consist of one or more segments. The simplest capsules contain a concentrate of liquid detergent and conditioner. But there are also multifunctional options with the addition of bleach, stain remover, enzymes and powders that help make washing even more effective.
Capsules save time and space on the shelf with household chemicals. With them, you do not need to measure the exact amount of different detergents in order to correctly fill the powder receptacle of the machine. Just put the sachet in the drum and start the cycle. During the washing process, the polymer shell will completely dissolve, releasing the components. When used correctly, the capsules do not leave streaks and clean things well.
It is important to note that the capsules are not suitable for hand washing. Concentrated detergent ingredients can be harmful
skin. In addition, the washing machine thoroughly rinses items, removing all residue from them. You probably won't be able to achieve the same effect manually. What to consider when using laundry capsules
There are capsules only for white or only for colored linen, or universal options suitable for different things, so pay attention to the instructions. It also indicates the appropriate temperature. Most capsules are effective even in cold water, but if the manufacturer recommends using them, for example, at 40 degrees or higher, then it is better to do so. Otherwise, the shell of the product may not completely dissolve or its components may not work as intended.
How to use laundry capsules
The rules are the same for machines with vertical and horizontal loading.
1. Make sure your hands are completely dry and remove the capsule from the package. Even a small amount of moisture can dissolve the sachet shell.
2. Place the capsule at the bottom of the empty drum. As a rule, one piece is enough to wash 5–7 kg of laundry. If machine designed for a larger volume (for example, 10 kg) and you plan to load it completely, it is permissible to use two capsules.
3. Place items in the machine on top of the capsule. Do not fill the drum to capacity, otherwise the product will not be effective and will not be completely washed off from the fabrics. It is optimal to leave at least 10 cm of free space between the laundry and the top of the drum.
4. If the capsule does not contain fabric softener, add the product to the appropriate compartment of the powder receptacle as needed.
5. Close the machine door, turn on the desired mode, set the temperature and wash things.
What else you need to remember when using laundry capsules
- Capsules are used exclusively during the main wash cycle, so there is no point in including modes that involve soaking or pre-washing.
- If after washing there are streaks and shiny traces of the capsule shell on your clothes, most likely you loaded too much laundry into the drum or chose the wrong temperature. Please keep these errors in mind in the future. To get rid of sachet residue on the fabric, wash the items again without adding capsules or other detergents, or run the rinse cycle. You may have to do this in two stages if the problem was a large volume of laundry.
- Do not put items with traces of unwashed capsules in the dryer. After exposure to high temperatures from spots it will be more difficult to get rid of.
- Store capsules in a dry place and ensure that the packaging is tightly closed. If exposed to moisture, the sachets may deteriorate.
- Always keep laundry capsules out of the reach of children and pets place.
