Miscellaneous / / December 08, 2023
There are now more and more universities around the world that offer courses in VR development. Most of them are located in the United States and only a few outside of it, in Norway and Singapore. In Russia, scientific developments using the capabilities of three-dimensional modeling and systems that perform calculations in the real time, have not yet become widespread, and in the humanitarian field this direction is aimed at solving purely scientific tasks.
Employees of Moscow State University and partner organizations are actively implementing these technologies, and there are already successful examples in the field of history, art history, space exploration and the development of the school curriculum.
The goal of the program is to popularize knowledge about the possibilities of using VR technologies in socio-humanitarian research to solve scientific and applied problems; familiarizing students with modern methods used by historians and specialists in related disciplines in the field of working with objects of historical and cultural heritage.
