Advanced SQL: stored database components - course RUB 21,500. from HSE, training 1 month, Date: April 17, 2023.
Miscellaneous / / December 07, 2023
A stored procedure is a separate database object, block of code, or set of SQL statements that is executed as a single piece of code. Stored procedures save time and allow you to automate work with databases:
- define your own query behavior, different from their standard implementations,
- manage access to database content for different categories of users
- not just execute queries, but create reusable objects
In the online course “Advanced SQL: Stored Database Components” you will learn about procedural dialects of the SQL language and stored SQL components: views, rules, triggers, stored procedures and functions and learn how to create them, taking into account the differences in the definition and use of these stored components in different DBMSs: PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle SQL.
Advantages of studying on the course:
01
Convenient format: classes with a teacher are held remotely, constant feedback from students
02
Individual approach: mentor consultations on each course topic
03
Emphasis on practice
Learning outcomes
After defending your final project, you will be able to:
- Use the capabilities of different database management systems
create stored components in various DBMSs - use triggers
create different types of triggers to ensure data integrity - create cursors in various DBMSs
and organize non-linear access to data and their processing - use views and rules in various DBMSs
manage access to data for different categories of users
