Miscellaneous / / December 06, 2023
This course provides professional development hours (PD hours) for further certification from IIBA.
The Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK Guide) is an internationally recognized standard for the practice of business analysis. It summarizes the experiences of leading business analysts around the world and describes the 30 main tasks of business analysis, as well as 50 commonly used techniques used to solve these problems.
The main difficulty of studying the BABOK Guide on your own is that while describing the characteristic tasks of business analysis, it does not explain when and how they should be performed. It is assumed that business analysts should be able to answer these questions independently, based on their own experience and the characteristics of a particular project. However, the BABOK Guide contains very few examples to help analysts connect theoretical knowledge with their daily practice.
The purpose of this course is to overcome these difficulties. A systematic presentation of requirements management tasks is accompanied by detailed explanations using examples from the personal experience of instructors and world practice. The features of requirements management in Agile approaches are considered. Students are provided with practical exercises to help reinforce their understanding. In addition, the course discusses issues of preparing for IIBA certification and examines example questions for the certification exam.
