BPMN: Business Process Modeling (Basics) - course RUB 22,900. from IBS Training Center, training 16 hours, Date January 22, 2024.
Miscellaneous / / December 05, 2023
The process approach to business organization has long proven its effectiveness and usefulness. Correctly described business processes and a well-thought-out procedure for their continuous improvement allow companies to achieve significant improvements in the quality of their work.
There are many different notations for describing business processes, and each of them has its own advantages. Some notations are more understandable for domain experts, others are more suitable for specialists for process automation, and others allow you to describe the logic of business processes in machine-readable form. This means that a complete business process model may contain fragments created in different notations and requires constant synchronization of all these fragments.
The BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) standard, starting with version 2.0, is designed to solve exactly this problem. It describes a fairly expressive notation that allows you to build models of even very complex business processes in a form understandable to humans. And what is important is that this standard also defines the rules for converting graphical models into a well-structured machine-readable form based on XML.
Thanks to this, the BPMN language is fully executable, i.e. allows you to create process models, which in the future will be carried out on the basis of automated business process management systems (BPMS).
Thanks to this standardization, one software product can be used for model development and another for execution, provided that all of these software products support the BPMN standard. As more and more companies implement the description and execution of business processes, Based on this standard, the demand for specialists proficient in the BPMN modeling language is also growing.
The course focuses on studying the graphical notation of the language and the rules for constructing BPMN models. During the training, students will learn the purpose and rules for using graphic elements of the language, get acquainted with types of BPMN diagrams and get an idea of the possibilities of automatic execution of constructed models.
Students will also receive practical modeling experience sufficient to independently analyze and/or develop business processes in BPMN 2.0 notation.
