Professional retraining program with additional qualification “Translator in the field of professional communication” (English) has been implemented at the Faculty of Public Administration since 2002 and is aimed at improving English language skills and developing oral and written translation necessary for intercultural communication in the field of state and municipal government, management, politics, sociology, economics and finance.
WHAT IS THIS?
A training program for the profession of a broad-spectrum translator, which includes both oral and written translation.
A program that has existed for more than ten years and accumulates the most practical methods of teaching a foreign language in the context of translating professional literature
A program aimed at quickly and effectively developing the skill of language guessing, without which the capabilities of translators are limited to technical texts

WHO NEEDS THIS?
An ambitious and energetic person who is not ready to lose the existing language skill (English), but is ready to master another specialty and is already seriously thinking about a future career.
WHO CAN JOIN THE PROGRAM?
Full-time and part-time undergraduate students (not younger than third year at the start of classes), master's students and certified specialists wishing to obtain another specialty. The minimum acceptable level of English proficiency to join the program is B1 (intermediate) according to the CEFR system.
WHAT BESIDES KNOWLEDGE?
The program involves the assignment of additional qualifications and a diploma from Moscow State University of additional education, giving the right to translate.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE AND HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The training takes two years, twice a week for two pairs.

Classes are held in the Shuvalovsky building of Moscow State University, located at: Moscow, Lomonosovsky prospect, no. 27, bldg. 4

Admission is based on the results of the interview. Number of places – 24.
After the interview, you must conclude an agreement and submit the following documents:
