Apple suddenly has updated its smallest desktop - Mac mini. The device has become more powerful, more compact and has got a number of highly anticipated features like HDMI ports.
The body of the mini now fully made of aluminum and its dimensions are 195.6 x 195.6 x 35.6 mm. Moreover, the power supply is built into the device, it seems surprising at the memory of the huge bar power adapter in the previous models.
On the rear panel are four USB-ports, the new product - SD card reader, Ethernet Adapter, Mini DisplayPort port and HDMI port awaited. Due to the last mini will connect to the HD-TV without the use of adapters. This again makes PCs more enjoyable to use. On the front panel there is only light activity and a slot for loading discs (set 8-speed DVD burner).
Concerning the filling of the new mini, it depends on your PC model, where the two: Standard and the server. In both installed Core 2 Duo processor from Intel with a frequency of 2.4 GHz and 2.66 GHz, respectively, and a graphics card NVIDIA GeForce 320M. RAM in the standard model 2GB, and the hard disk capacity - 320 GB. In the server version number is doubled RAM, and HDD capacity is 500 GB, plus it has a higher rotation speed (7200 rev / min against 5400 rev / min in a 320-gigabyte model).
Fighters for a cleaner environment and improve the ecology will also be pleased with novelty. Viewed PC consumes 25% less power than its predecessor. Despite the existence of a mass of innovations, better and more compact housing and improved performance, price Mac mini 2010 release remained unchanged: for the standard model in the US, Apple is asking for $ 699, and for the server - $999. Incidentally, the latter, of course, comes complete server version of Mac OS X 10.6.3.
The main question now is: what will happen to Apple TV? Should we expect a quick upgrade consoles? What it will be? Any thoughts?
