For each course completed at Stepik, the student receives a certificate of completion. Obtaining a certificate is also free.
The Chinese course is designed for everyone, even those who have never studied Chinese before, but be prepared to put in some serious work: the modules are packed with grammar and vocabulary. The course includes basic grammar and vocabulary at HSK 1 level (Chinese qualifying exam), and cultural inserts. Thus, after completing the course, you can say that you know Chinese at the level of the first stage of the exam.
