Preparing to work with the program
You will learn what Pro Tools is for and how different versions of the program differ. You can set up cloud storage.
Getting to know the interface
You will understand what problems Pro Tools solves, learn how to set up a workspace and create sessions.
Introduction to Digital Recording
You will learn the basics of digital audio recording and its requirements. Record an audio track from an external source - guitar, microphone, synthesizer or other instrument.
Working with a track
You will learn how to customize the workspace for yourself: learn how to set a track name, change its color, duplicate and delete. This will help you organize your project and avoid getting lost in paths.
Installation tools and modes
You will become familiar with editing tools. Learn how to create a smooth fade-in and fade-out using Fade. Understand how to cut and swap tracks using Grabber. Learn hotkeys that will speed up your work.
Important parameters of the editing window
You'll learn how to configure the Timecode setting to create intervals and control playback speed. You will learn how to work with measures and beats (Bar/Beat), and what this gives.
Connecting and setting up a MIDI keyboard
You will learn how to work with external MIDI controllers, learn the features of their connection and configuration.
Recording a Song Using MIDI
You'll become familiar with Pro Tools virtual instruments and learn how to record them in different modes. Learn what MIDI commands are, how to combine and automate them.
Editing and MIDI editing
You will learn how to fine-tune musical compositions through the MIDI Editor Window, and you will be able to edit MIDI notes and pitch. Master the Smart Tool, which will speed up routine operations.
Working with the mixer
You'll learn how to apply effects to multiple tracks at once using the Send function and make independent adjustments with the Insert function. You will understand what a Master track is and how to create it.
Plugins
You'll get acquainted with the editor's built-in plugins - equalizer, compressor, noise reduction and whistling sound removal.
Automation
You'll understand how to work with different types of effects automation: basic shapes, project pacing, real-time recording.
Mixing
You will learn how to mix material and build a balance between instruments. You will learn how to save editor resources and be able to import audio and MIDI.
Graduation project. Creating a Track in Pro Tools
You will create a musical composition from scratch: adjust the harmonious sound, work with effects and finalize the project.
