Gorbunov's bureau was opened in 2007. The mission of the bureau is the transfer of design knowledge, useful ideas and workable design. The “Tips” section is the main Russian-language source of practical knowledge about design. The bureau publishes books and conducts courses on design, client relations, navigation, editing and management. Long-term Bureau School programs provide a ticket to the profession for designers, editors and managers.
In 2022, the bureau opened an architectural direction and makes large, exciting country houses that gradually grow with the family.
The idea of the architectural platform in a nutshell is “affordable fun.”
The bureau helps its client companies create new and improve existing products and services for which required name, logo, visualization, interface, website, packaging, paper and electronic publications We do all this together so that the client receives a complete system.
A user-friendly interface and beautiful packaging do not guarantee success. At the heart of a successful product is a working system. We research and use the laws, techniques and ideas of workable design, and the first thing we think about is how to do without an interface.
Our traditional strong point is presenting information that is complex in content and structure in a form that maximizes facilitating perception and analysis, avoiding ambiguity, verbosity, textual and graphical noise. When working on websites and publications, we follow the principles of usefulness, honesty and information content.
The bureau launches projects on time. We are guided by the principle of fixed deadlines and flexible functionality, which other developers are afraid to follow. We work with clients for many years, but we don’t have year-long projects—we move in short, effective iterations.
The bureau has adopted the “Resource” system. We work wherever and whenever it is convenient. This inspired us to open a Cowork Cafe - a comfortable and quiet space for working, meeting people, and sharing knowledge with like-minded people: office workers, entrepreneurs and designers from other studios.
