Basic principles of plant taxonomy, taxonomic hierarchy, taxa of lower ranks (cultivar, race, subspecies, species, family), binary Latin names of plants and their practical meaning (2 hours).

1.2. The relationship of plants to environmental factors (*climate, geometric space, light supply, water regime, soil conditions, relief, anthropogenic factors). School of winter hardiness (assessment using the GBS RAS methodology). Ecological niche of the species. Complex influence of environmental factors and resistance of woody plants to them. Phytocenological basis of the growth of woody plants in single-species, mixed and complex compositional plantings. Competitive relations and their regulation in cultural conditions.
