Slurm grew out of internal training at Southbridge, an outsourcer for the administration of busy projects. In the process of training employees, a training course on Kubernetes appeared, and then the basic course was supplemented by an advanced one, DevOps, Docker, Ceph, SRE courses appeared.

Graduates of this course are ready to join a Kubernetes project team: they are familiar with components and abstractions, and have experience setting up a cluster and running applications on it.
