How to propagate Decembrist at home
Miscellaneous / / November 26, 2023
You can grow new flowers from stems and leaves.
When to propagate Decembrist
In general, the procedure can be carried out at any time of the year. Although it is best to propagate the Decembrist, or Schlumbergera, after flowering - it usually lasts from about November to February. In this way, it will be possible to repeat the natural cycle, when the plant scatters seeds and also takes root with stem fragments. It is the latter method that is used for growing flowers at home.
When the Decembrist is at rest and does not waste energy on the formation of buds and lush bloom, the process of rooting cuttings and leaves is faster. It is also important that you have the opportunity to find a cool place, and in the summer heat this is often problematic.
How to propagate Decembrist
Prepare planting containers
For propagation of Schlumbergera, plastic cups or pots with a volume of at least 200 ml are suitable. If there are no drainage holes in the bottom of the containers to drain excess liquid, make them using an awl or soldering iron.
Decembrist can be rooted in universal growing soil seedlings vegetables and flowers. Fill the pots with soil, leaving about 1-1.5 cm to the top, and lightly compact it with your fingers. Pour water over the soil to moisten it properly, but do not turn the contents of the glass into a swamp.
Prepare cuttings or leaves
Carefully inspect the bush. Look for well-developed, healthy shoots with lush green leaves. Try to find segments with roots in the leaf axils.
If there are no such specimens, take any twig you like and move two to four segments away from the top of the head. Hold the plant with your fingers and separate the cutting using a twisting motion, holding the stem at the base with your other hand. Do not use scissors or other sharp objects for this, so as not to injure the flower.
You can also separate the leaves in the same way. Choose the larger ones and carefully unscrew them from the branches.
Plant the Decembrist
Dip the tip of the cutting or leaf into water and then into a rooting powder, such as Kornevin. A special product will help Schlumbergera germinate faster.
Carefully push the cuttings or leaves into the soil. They need to be buried approximately to the middle of the leaf. Compact the soil around Decembrist fingers so that the future shoot is securely held in the ground. By the way, several pieces can be rooted in one container at once.

If the cutting already has roots, make a depression of a suitable size in the soil and lower them into the hole to the middle of the bottom leaf. Cover with soil, compacting it with your fingers.
Cover the containers with transparent bags to create a mini-greenhouse.
Place the cuttings in a cool place with a temperature of about 18–20 degrees. During rooting, they should be in partial shade and not exposed to direct sunlight.
Wait for the Decembrist to take root
This usually takes about 2-3 weeks. At this time, remove the cover daily for 20–30 minutes. Ventilation will protect the cuttings from infection with fungal diseases. Also, water the soil with water from a spray bottle as needed and do not allow it to dry out.
The appearance of new shoots will indicate that the Decembrist has taken root. As soon as you notice fresh shoots, remove the bag and leave the flower in penumbra and cool, or find a place for it that is protected from direct sunlight during the midday hours.
How to care for Decembrist seedlings
In the first 2–3 months, young plants will not require fertilizing and take all the necessary nutrients from the soil. Basic care will consist of regular watering. Moisten the soil around the sprout as soon as its surface is slightly dry. Maintain moderation and do not pour too much water, otherwise the Decembrist may rot. Two or three times a week (and daily in hot weather), additionally spray the leaves with water from a spray bottle.

It's bullshit that a laser beam and a radio wave have a speed close to the speed of light, in fact it's the same effect. It’s just that the radio wave in any case turns out wider than the laser beam at the starting and ending points. And the signal power is lost by the same amount. This is of course a minus, but it is impossible to miss a radio signal, and besides, it is more stable in dust accumulations and nebulae than a laser beam. Yes, and objects that come across the laser’s path interrupt the beam, but they are practically not dangerous to the radio signal. So this is a controversial article. Using the laser beam, the only thing that is convenient is to calculate the distance to the object of observation. It is not reflected like a radio wave and therefore its power (beam width) makes it easy to calculate the distance traveled by the beam.

Anyone else remember Disney? I see neural network parodies of the covers of Disney works more often than Disney works themselves. And even if I come across genuine content, I get the feeling that this is not some truly cult studio that played a big role in the childhood of many, but just another office, sucking up to all modern trends, minorities and ideologies, and incapable of doing anything that will appeal to anyone except a couple of dark-skinned fat lesbians for whom these cartoons and were created
“The Cherished Wish” is a new Disney cartoon that you will forget immediately after watching it
