Instagram* now lets you download other users' video Reels

Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri announced that all users can now download Reels videos to their devices. Previously, they could only be added to the list of saved ones, and downloading was only possible through third-party sites. The download first became available in June, but only to US users.

As with TikTok videos, uploaded Reels will display a watermark with the service's logo and the creator's name.

If the video you want to download contains licensed music, the video will be saved without sound. If the track is original, the audio will remain.

Uploading videos is easy: just click on the “Share” icon and select “Download” from the menu below.

Video authors can block the ability to download their videos. To do this, in your profile settings, you need to open the “Privacy” > “Video Reels and Remixes” section and turn off the “Allow people to download your Reels videos” option.
