George Martin announced the development of 8 Game of Thrones spin-offs

George R. R. Martin, creator of Game of Thrones, told to the authors of the Bangcast podcast about plans for the development of the franchise, mentioning a large number of upcoming spin-offs.

By “Dunk and Egg,” Martin meant the series “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight” - it’s really already in production. This is a television adaptation of the series of fantasy novels "The Tale of Dunk and Egg", where the main action takes place approximately a century before the original "Game of Thrones".

Martin has not confirmed which of the other stories will reveal the remaining seven spinoffs. But they are rumored to include The Sea Serpent, Ten Thousand Ships, The Golden Empire, Flea Bottom, Aegon the Conqueror and Snow. The latest project will be dedicated to Jon Snow, in whose role they want to attract Keith Harrington. The events of the show will develop after the finale of Game of Thrones.

Whether all seven projects will receive the green light is still unknown. All of them are at a very early stage of development.
