Sberbank allowed to check and block money transactions of relatives

Sber has launched the “Close Nearby” transaction verification service, which will allow checking the money transactions of family members and loved ones through SberBank Online.

First of all, this service is designed to protect loved ones from swindlers who lure money. After connecting the service, all transfers of the client will be checked by an assistant - a relative or any close person. He will be able to confirm or block the operation if he sees signs of fraud in it.

The decision will be given 12 hours, during which it will be possible to contact the client to clarify the situation. If the assistant does not respond during this time, the bank will reject the operation to protect the money.

To activate the service in SberBank Online, type in the search "Checking the operations of a loved one" or "Relatives nearby." Next, you will need to specify a person in the address book and select a card to pay for the service in the future.

Now the “Close Nearby” service is provided free of charge, but from June 1, 2022, it will cost 89 rubles per month for each person. For

connections the consent of the client and the assistant chosen by him will be required.
