Xiaomi SU7 is an electric 4-door 5-seater sedan with dimensions of 4997 × 1963 × 1455 mm and a wheelbase of 3000 mm. It will have two wheel options: 19 and 20 inches with 245/45 and 245/40 tires, respectively.
Xiaomi showed two versions of SU7 - with and without lidar. The lidar is installed behind the windshield. It is assumed that the car will receive support for unlocking using facial recognition.
The powertrain has two options: rear-wheel drive with a 220 kW engine and all-wheel drive with a maximum power of 495 kW (220 kW + 275 kW). The battery pack is supplied by BYD.
The car weighs 1980 kg, and the maximum speed is limited to 210 km/h - for the simplest configuration. In the top version, Xiaomi SU7 will weigh 2205 kg and can accelerate to 265 km/h.
It is expected that the official sale versions of the electric car will be named SU7, SU7 Pro and SU7 Max. Some trim levels will have an active rear wing (spoiler).
The electric vehicle will be manufactured under contract by Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co. Ltd (BAIC), and not Xiaomi itself. The vehicle will go into mass production in December 2023, and first deliveries are expected in February 2024. The Beijing BAIC plant has already started trial production, with dozens of test vehicles already rolling off the assembly line.
