Insider: Apple is testing iPhone 16 Pro with a hole instead of a “pill” Dynamic Island

How reports well-known Chinese insider under the nickname Majin Bu, Apple is now testing a prototype of the iPhone 16 Pro with a hole in the screen and new Dynamic Island animations. Instead of an elongated block for the camera and Face ID, the new model wants to use a round hole similar to those used in many modern Android smartphones.

The design of Dynamic Island will change slightly for the new module. Animations of both sizes will take up less space on the screen, it will look something like this:

The author of the leak notes that the design is not final yet, the final decision will be made in March. He also added that it is highly likely that the new design will be left for the iPhone 17, and the next generation will come out with the usual “pill.”
