Apple will release a large iPad Air with a 12.9-inch screen

The company will update all major tablet models in 2024, including the iPad mini and the base iPad.
According to renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, next year Apple will expand its tablet lineup with the new iPad Air. This will be an expansion of the line of thin and light devices, but with a much larger 12.9-inch display.
The larger iPad Air is expected to launch in the first quarter along with the updated base Air model, with both new items taking priority on Apple's roadmap.
Insider also addedthat the 12.9-inch version will have an LCD screen - it will not receive a miniLED panel, as in the current iPad Pro. But the display will still be more responsive and modern due to a number of other improvements (compared to the current iPad Air).
Kuo predicts that Apple will try to make up for the lack of changes to the iPad lineup this year by updating all key models next year. So, after the Air, an iPad Pro with OLED panels and an M3 chip should be released - they could be announced as early as the second quarter of 2024.
The last in Apple's production plan for 2024 will be the iPad mini and the 11th generation iPad, a new version of the most affordable tablet. This release will result in the discontinuation of the 9th generation iPad, which is currently still available at retail.
Kuo believes that all these changes will result in only a slight increase in iPad shipments compared to this year, and predicts that iPad sales will be around 52-54 million units in 2024. For comparison, in the very successful year 2022 for the company, 63 million tablets were sold.
