Valve announced Steam Deck with improved OLED screen. Two versions of the new model will go on sale.
Thus, the console display has increased from 7 to 7.4 inches. Its resolution is 1280 x 800 pixels, refresh rate is 90 Hz, and brightness is 1,000 nits. There is also HDR support.
The manufacturer offers two versions of Steam Deck OLED: 512 GB and 1 TB. Both models are equipped with an AMD Zen 2 processor, AMD RDNA 2 graphics accelerator, 16 GB of RAM and Wi-Fi 6E module.
The 50 Wh battery provides from 3 to 12 hours of play depending on the load. This is slightly more than its predecessor. And the device is powered via the USB-C port.
The version with 512 GB will cost 550 dollars (≈50,000 rubles), and with 1 TB of memory - 650 (≈60,000 rubles). You can already pre-order them on the Steam website. Deliveries are due to begin in December.
A limited edition version of the console with a translucent casing is also available in the US and Canada. It will go on sale on November 16 at a price of $650 (≈60,000 rubles). Along with the announcement, the company announced a price reduction for the Steam Deck LCD from 256 GB of memory to $400 (≈37,000 rubles).
