Keanu Reeves is the highest paid person in history. The sequel to the original Matrix, split into The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, made him $156 million richer. This check includes interest on fees and an advance.
He is followed by Bruce Willis, who received 100 million in 1999 for his performance in The Sixth Sense.
Tom Cruise came third. During his career, the actor received a fee of $100 million three times - for “Top Gun: Maverick,” “War of the Worlds” and “Mission: Impossible 2.” He also ranks seventh with 70 million for the first installment of his spy franchise.
Will Smith earned 100 million for the film “Men in Black 3” and became fourth. In fifth place is Robert Downey Jr., who received 75 million each for Iron Man 3, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
