You can display any picture on the display and change it at least every hour.
Japanese e-ink device manufacturer Reinkstone has released the Reink Case C1, an iPhone case with a 3.7-inch E-Ink screen.
You can display any picture you like on this screen; this can be done through the Reink application. The manufacturer notes that this is the first such device in the world to use four-color ink: this gives a more realistic picture than three-color ones.
The case itself should feel just like a regular iPhone: it uses the same frosted glass as the iPhone 15, and the buttons are metal. There are no magnets inside, but the case is thin enough to use MagSafe charging.
The display of the smartphone itself and the camera on the back are covered by the protruding edges of the case on both sides. The protection around the camera is also functional: the frame can be raised and used as a stand (up to 115°).
The case does not need to be charged: NFC is responsible for power supply and data transfer. The manufacturer claims that energy consumption is so low that it will not affect the autonomy of the smartphone.
Reink Case C1 is available for all iPhone 13, 14, and 15 versions except iPhone 13 mini. All versions have the same price: $79. You can order the case at manufacturer's website, but at the time of publication, all options had already been sold out, and release dates for new batches have not yet been announced.
