Podcast "Spray of Science": Facts and Myths about Ancient Egypt

The Great Pyramids and the almighty pharaohs - many spears have been broken around them. Myths and facts are closely intertwined with each other, and conspiracy theories like paleocontact are sometimes mixed into scientific mysteries.

Doctor of Egyptology and senior researcher at the Center for Egyptological Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Bolshakov will be a guide to the culture of this amazing civilization. He will tell you about the pyramids: what materials they were built from, what technologies they used and who their builders were. And also about the pharaohs: what their subjects called them, what the rulers did on weekdays, and how large their families were.
