In October, a new editor based on the Midjourney neural network, Niji Journey, appeared in the App Store and Google Play stores. The service allows you to generate illustrations in different anime styles: from strictly detailed drawing to bright and voluminous.

Input data must be written in text: indicate what you want to see, in what style and with what level of detail. For inspiration, the main screen constantly displays examples of the generation of other users with Prompts - you can look at the tags for your request.

The text can be supported by a photograph - if it is important to maintain the similarity of the character or pose. The finished illustration can be enlarged (the Upscale button) - but it seems that it does not work in the current iOS version of the application: the size of the image before and after enlargement is 928 × 1232 pixels.

It is better to register the main object in industrial text, especially if you are using a photo reference - the neural network does not process photo uploaded by the user, but uses it as a support and can draw something completely different, but with a similar pose. If the text data is not enough, she may well turn a man into a woman. The exception is animals: during testing, we were unable to force the neural network to draw a cat, rather than a girl with cat ears, using a photo reference.

The application provides 20 generations per account for free. A selection of 4 photos is considered as one generation, as is the improvement of one image. That is, if you made 4 images for one request and improved the quality of all four, this will count as 5 generations.
