IFTTT disappear from almost all the functions associated with Gmail
Android Ios / / December 19, 2019
From the popular service IFTTT actions automation will disappear on Sunday, most of algorithms associated with Gmail. Users will still be able to send messages to others and themselves, but all the functions that relate to the preparation of letters disappear.
This is due to the fact that from October Gmail interact with third-party services are not like they used to. In the last year, Google found that some companies may read the users emails, and decided to tighten the rules on third-party applications.
IFTTT developers have tried to make the functionality of their services consistent with Google's new rules. But they could not - they would have to make significant changes to the platform infrastructure.
IFTTT is an application where you can create so-called applets - the sequence of actions that allow you to use many services and devices more effectively. You can, for example, make silent mode on your phone, under certain conditions, on and off, and to make sure that all of your tweets persisted to a text file.
Alternatively you can use the services IFTTT Zapier and Microsoft Flow - they have a lot of algorithms associated with Gmail.
