Haitong International Securities Analyst Jeff Pu stated, that at the end of next year Apple will introduce its own generative artificial intelligence technology into the iPhone and iPad.
The expert refers to his own investigation of the supply chain. According to him, Cupertino residents are building an infrastructure for AI. To do this they use several hundred servers.
The company wants to give users two options to access new features - through the cloud and on the device itself. The latter option will provide greater privacy.
If everything goes according to plan and the implementation of the idea continues at the same pace as now, then AI may appear in iOS 18 and iPadOS 18. The company should traditionally present them next fall.
Previously, various sources reported that the Cupertino team plans to integrate artificial intelligence into Siri so that the virtual assistant can perform multi-level tasks with one command. And well-known insider Mark Gurman from Bloomberg learned about testing within the same company ChatGPT.
