IndieWire has compiled a list of the 60 best sci-fi films of the 21st century.

The well-known portal IndieWire, dedicated to independent cinema, has compiled a list of the 60 best science fiction films of the 21st century. They considered only genuine representatives of the genre that explore "mankind's deep-rooted fear of itself and the terrifying possibilities of unknown worlds."

The authors immediately clarified that they did not consider films about superheroes and various fantasy franchises, including Star Wars and, for example, Pan's Labyrinth. But even without them, the top turned out quite strange.

For example, a number of positions raise questions, including 50th place in the very controversial “Matrix: Resurrection", 43rd at "Extraction" and as much as 39th place in "M3GAN». At the same time, the cult “Interstellar” is not included in the rating, but there is “Argument" And "To the stars». There are a lot of questions for the positions in the ranking, but there are none for the leader of the ranking - there is “Children of Man,” which deserves it.
